Q. What is the difference between soft vs. pureed food diet?

 

A.A soft food diet would consist of softer foods that do not require an excessive amount of chewing. Examples include fish, soft vegetables, eggs, chili, oatmeal.

A pureed food diet would require little to no chewing at all and can include foods from a regular diet that have been pureed or mashed. Examples include mashed potatoes, smoothies, applesauce, soup.
